The
Chiropractic Objective
The practice objective of chiropractic is
really simple to understand. It is a healthcare profession that begins with a very logical premise that human beings have
an inborn ability to maintain their level of health naturally. Chiropractic teaches that the inborn intelligence that runs
the body is expressed through the nervous system and that regular uninhibited functioning of the nervous system is necessary
for a proper state of health to flourish. Doctors of chiropractic periodically examine the spine for the purpose of evaluating spinal alignment. Spinal
bones (vertebrae) that lose their proper anatomical alignment in relationship to other spinal segments can place pressure
on portions of the central and peripheral nervous system. Interference to the human nervous system can disrupt the various
physiological processes that are necessary to maintain life. Chiropractors should be recognized as important members
of any community's healthcare team because their professional practice objective of locating, analyzing, and correcting vertebral
subluxations contributes dramatically to the overall level of health of citizens throughout the world. The nervous system coordinates many physiological
activities in a human being including immune system functions and proper body metabolism. If patients become compromised,
and their immune systems are engaged in fighting off various diseases, they are going to have a much better chance of defeating
each disease they encounter if their nervous systems are working without disruptions coming from misaligned spinal bones (subluxations).
